Science Leaders: Advanced STEM Challenges

Availability: Week 2 (6/29-7/3), Week 8 (8/10-8/14) | Ages 10-13

A high-challenge STEM camp for older learners who enjoy designing solutions and leading teamwork. Campers tackle multi-step engineering and science challenges that require planning, prototyping, testing, and iteration. Students practice leadership habits such as role assignment, constructive feedback, and evidence-based decision-making. Projects emphasize resilience and improvement, not perfection, so campers learn to persist through difficulty. Ideal as a progression from Circuitry Creators or other advanced STEM camps.

Lego Robotics Jr & Rubik’s Cube

Availability: Week 1 (6/22-6/26) | Ages 6-8

A two-in-one camp combining hands-on building with brain-boosting puzzles. Campers build beginner robotics-style LEGO models and explore simple logic routines that teach sequencing and troubleshooting. Students also learn Rubik’s Cube strategies step-by-step, building persistence, pattern recognition, and focus. Each day includes guided practice and challenge moments that help campers feel real progress. A great next-step for campers moving up from Lego Adventures or those ready for a more structured STEM experience.

Future Minds AI: Introduction to Intelligence

Availability: Week 6 (7/27-7/31) | Ages 5-8

A playful, age-appropriate introduction to artificial intelligence and “smart” technology. Campers explore patterns, sorting, and learning-from-examples through hands-on games and guided demonstrations. Students learn what AI can do, what it cannot do, and how to use technology safely and thoughtfully. Activities build curiosity and confidence without requiring prior coding experience. Recommended as the entry point before AI Pioneers for families interested in a multi-stage AI pathway.

App Lab: Building with AI

Availability: Week 4 (7/13-7/17), Week 6 (7/27-7/31) | Ages 10+

A modern, project-based camp where campers turn ideas into app prototypes using responsible AI-supported workflows. Students learn design thinking: defining users, setting goals, sketching screens, and building a clear user flow. Campers create a prototype, test it, collect feedback, and iterate to improve the final experience. Along the way, students practice digital responsibility and learn how to evaluate AI outputs for usefulness and accuracy. Great for campers who have done Scratch or web projects and are ready for product-style creation.

Lego League Pro: Team Challenges & Science Creations

Availability: Week 8 (8/10-8/14) | Ages 9+

A team-based LEGO challenge camp that blends engineering, creativity, and scientific thinking. Campers work in groups to plan and build solutions for mission-style challenges, practicing collaboration and role responsibility. Students test, troubleshoot, and redesign—learning that strong results come from iteration, not speed. Campers also practice explaining how their creations work, building communication and presentation confidence. A natural next-step for campers who have completed LEGO Robotics Jr and want a more advanced team experience.

Lego Robotics Jr – Simple Machine

Availability: Week 3 (7/6-7/10), Week 5 (7/20-7/24), Week 9 (8/17-8/21) | Ages 6-8

Campers explore how real-world machines work by building and testing LEGO simple machine models. Students investigate gears, levers, pulleys, and wheel-and-axle systems, then experiment with changes to see how motion and force are affected. The camp emphasizes engineering thinking: observe results, troubleshoot problems, and redesign for improvement. Campers practice using evidence to explain why a build works, strengthening communication and STEM vocabulary. This is an excellent progression from Lego Adventures and a strong pathway into LEGO League Pro.
